Welcome to Florida Campus Compacts student home page. The purpose of this website is to support student voice and civic engagement. Florida Campus Compact's responsibility includes providing an array of resources intended to empower, engage and enhance the collegiate experience. Resources found within this website include, program models, workshops, trainings, networking opportunities, scholarships, awards, forums as well as other tools that will help increase state wide commitment to student growth and accountability.

Lori Wells, Student Affairs Coordinator
It was the mission of Florida Campus Compact that first drew Lori to the AmeriCorps VISTA program working within the FL|CC office in August of 2005. Lori believes that a person's duty in life is to be both a teacher and a learner. Service-learning and civic engagement speak within her vocation and resurface with conviction -- that lives can be changed if each person is empowered in a way that is true to his or her authentic self. Due to Lori's personal hopes and mission in life, Lori decided to stay at FL|CC following her VISTA year. Now serving as the Student Affairs Coordinator, Lori hopes to be a part of creating resources that will enable campuses to provide for the holistic development of their students, where the mind and spirit can merge to form a new citizen engaged in our democracy. Lori is also involved in planning student conferences, trainings, and web-based opportunities to help students learn and employ new skills. Her ultimate goal is to help students succeed in any job that moves them to action and creates in them a happiness that cannot be bought.
